Why do I need to make an appointment
to try on wedding gowns?
In order to give you the full attention of
our experienced consultants, appointments are necessary.
How long is my appointment?
Bridal gown appointments last 1 1/2 hour.
What should I bring to my
appointment?
Bring
pictures of dresses you’ve seen on our designers websites, or in
magazines. And bring an open mind: don’t be surprised if you find “ the
dress” on your first visit to Occasions.
Who should I bring to my
appointment?
Bring
the closest friend or family member whose opinion you value and who
knows you well and with whom you want to share the experience of buying
your gown. Bringing more than 3 others can take the focus off of you.
What size gowns are available for
me to try on?
Sizes 2 - 24W
How far in
advance do I need to order my gown?
Delivery time varies greatly based on the designer. Most of our
designers require up to 16 weeks, or 4 months. Of course, there are
always exceptions. We have done many rushes.
How do I pay for my gown?
We
accept Debit Card, MasterCard, and Visa, as well as cash and personal
checks. (Personal checks are only accepted for deposit, not final
payment)
What are the price ranges for your
gowns? Our gowns start at $450, but are more frequently
in the $800 range or higher. Off-the-rack samples can be less.
Am I allowed to
take pictures when I try on gowns?
YES! We welcome cameras during all of your appointments. Remembering
the experience with your photos is a great idea. It is also helpful to
send pictures to someone close to you, who is unable to be with you for
your appointment. Sometimes photos do not give a good representation of
how the dress will look on your wedding day as you are trying on a
sample that may or may not fit properly. So, we do not recommend using
pictures to make your final decision, rather something to enhance your
enjoyment of your experience.
Can I get a
swatch of my gown’s fabric and color? We offer a
complimentary swatch for each of our brides, from most
designers.
