Welcome to Occasions Bridal & Formal,

Bermuda’s premier full service bridal salon featuring exquisite bridal attire by internationally renowned designers.

Occasions is a privately owned bridal salon committed to making your experience enjoyable and relaxing. In addition to our wide selection of bridal gowns, we also specialize in maid-of-honor, bridesmaids, mother's, special occasions and prom gowns, boys tuxedos, and accessories.

Preparing for your big day is a challenge. We hope that we can help you with the process. Here is a list of what to expect to help you prepare.

  1.  Come visit our salon during our business hours Tuesday through Saturday call us for an appointment today.

  2.  Our dresses are available for your perusal and our friendly staff will assist you in trying on as many dresses as you like. We often have one sample size of each dress style in our store but we can special order any dress in the size and color offered by the manufacturer as long as the dress has not been discontinued. The average delivery time of special order dresses is approximately 16-18 weeks. Rush cuts and super rush cuts between 8 and 10 weeks are often available at an additional cost.

  3. Upon selecting a special order dress, we will take your measurements to help in ordering the appropriate size. We measure the largest part the bust, the smallest part of the waist and the largest part of the hips, along with a "hollow to hem" measurement when necessary.  A hollow to hem measurement is done by measuring from the hollow of your neck to the hem of the garment to determine if extra length is needed. After checking the manufacturer's sizing chart, we are happy to recommend a dress size to be ordered.  Upon selecting a special order dress, we will take your measurements to help in ordering the appropriate size.   4. Once your dress size and color have been determined your dress is now ready to be ordered! We will require a MINIMUM 50% non-refundable partial payment is required to secure your order for your dress, headpiece, shoes and/or jewelry. Upon receipt of the deposit, your order will be placed with the manufacturer and we will be given an approximate ship date. This is the approximate date that the dress is to be shipped from the manufacturer to our store. It could take up to two weeks from the approximate ship date to arrive at our store.

  5. Your dress arrives at the store! A courtesy call is immediately placed to let you know that your dress has arrived. At this time we would like you to come in to the store to try on your dress. Often alterations are needed on the hem or to take the bust, waist, and/or hips in to make a perfect fit! You should plan to pay for the balance on your dress in full at this time.

  6. If alterations are required for that perfect fit and you would like to have this service done via our referral, we will provide you with the name and phone number of our tailor/seamstress. You may then give them a call to get aquainted and receive information regarding there services and scheduling.  Early scheduling, approximately 2 months prior to the event, will ensure convenient appointments for you and timely fittings.  In addition, the undergarments and shoes you choose to wear with your gown will be required for your fittings.
